This is Netflix’s most expensive project made in Latin America to date, with Colombian groups and indigenous communities constructing the series’ props and sets. Sure, it was awful, but then again, the author waxes very poetic about bringing up old curses and things like that..
or tragic love, human nature
It all comes from a master of the genre. I was captivated by almost everything, not in the first episode, then I was intrigued, and I hope you let the alchemy/magic happen like I did. Let the deceptive cloak wrap you in its fantastical story.
Like some "Game of Thrones" fever
It all comes back to history and memory, and how unreliable and tangled they are and what we make of them. I feel like reading the novel again, right now! The difference is that I can’t read the original, only the translation.
Sad but beautiful
